We are the women they underestimate.
If that sentence makes something in you stand taller…You’re in the right place.
The Manifesto
We are the women they underestimated.
The ones they told to “slow down”...
Like it was a warning, not a weapon.
We’ve lived enough life to know speed is overrated.
We’ve hustled.
We’ve pushed.
We’ve worn the badge of busy until it burned holes in our skin.
Not anymore.
We choose mornings that belong to us.
Evenings that restore us.
Days that unfold on our terms —
Not an inbox’s...
Not a boss’s...
Not society’s.
We don’t slow down because we’re tired.
We slow down because we’re wise enough to know our strength doesn’t need proving.
We live in rhythm with the things that matter:
The grass under our feet.
The steam rising from the mugs.
The conversations that make the world feel smaller and kinder.
And if you think slowing down means giving up?
You’re not one of us.
If you believe women should fade quietly into the background?
Step aside.
We are done asking for permission.
This is the life we’ve claimed.
And we will protect it...
Fiercely...
Joyfully...
Unapologetically.
We are Simple Life Explorers.
Strong enough to be still.
Bold enough to walk away.
Wild enough to write our own map.
The Line in the Sand
We’re not here to be “relatable.”
We don’t exist to make the overworked feel better about their choices.
We’re here to show that walking away is not giving up — it’s winning.
This isn’t about dabbling in slow living as a cute weekend hobby.
It’s a full-throttle rejection of everything that burns us out and sells us short.
The Freedom Files
If you’re still reading, you’re probably one of us.
Simple Life Explorers is where women like us gather — not to complain about the noise, but to live above it.
To share the truth.
To hold the line.
To keep each other fierce in a world that worships hustle.
We’re not trying to convert everyone.
We’re building an unapologetic circle of women who already get it.
The Freedom Files is our weekly letter.
Not a newsletter.
Not inbox filler.
It’s part rally cry, part rebellion.
One email a week to remind you: you don’t have to live life at full speed to live it fully.
We’re not here to convert the masses.
We’re gathering women who already feel it in their bones.
Women who want freedom over frenzy.
Depth over “busy.”
Living over performing.

One email a week.No fluff. No hustle-glorifying nonsense.Just raw honesty, a little rebellion, and a reminder that you’re not alone in choosing another way.
A little bit about me…
I’m on a mission to help women throw off the weight of other people’s expectations and take back their time, freedom, and joy.Not by doing more. Not by “earning” rest. But by slowing down — deliberately, rebelliously, unapologetically.Simple Life Explorers is where women who’ve hustled, achieved, and ticked every box finally stop asking for permission and start living for themselves. We don’t fade quietly into the background. We write our own maps — and we protect the life we’ve claimed, fiercely and without compromise.
We’re not just slowing down.
We’re choosing differently.
If that scares people?
Good.
We didn’t come here to fit in.

About Simple Life Explorers
Hi there, I'm Rebecca. It's nice to have you here.I’ve always secretly craved a simpler, slower way of living.
The kind where you can actually taste your coffee, watch the sun spill over the fields, and let the day stretch without a single “urgent” ping interrupting it.In my early years as a mum, I had that. I soaked up butter-yellow mornings, gritty beach picnics, and kitchen dance parties while the cookies turned golden brown (and sometimes a little black too). But somewhere along the way, I bought into the lie that a slow life was a small life.
I thought that taking time for myself was being lazy.
I chased the hustle.Built the business.Collected the things. Filled my days with “more” — more work, more money, more expectations. And yet, I felt… less.It wasn’t until my children grew, the house fell quiet, and I found myself surrounded by stuff I didn’t need, that I realised:
This isn’t what my heart wanted.
I wanted freedom.
Presence.
Days where I wasn’t proving my worth by how much I could carry. So, to cut a long story short (I will tell you more about this later)…My partner and I decided to strip everything back.We sold, donated, and gave away most of our belongings, left our three-bedroom house, and now live on a 40-foot narrowboat.I thought letting go of all of our belongings would be difficult, but it was actually hugely liberating. It made me realise I can live life on my terms. Life is still busy as I work full-time as a freelance copywriter, serving my fabulous clients. But I no longer feel like I need to be busy to prove myself. Why I created Simple Life explorers…At first, I thought it was just me who was tired of the hustle. But the more I looked around, the more I saw women who were feeling the same.I created Simple Life Explorers — for women who’ve had enough of feeling like they need to constantly prove themselves. For the women who want more quality of life (whatever that is to them) instead of just stuff to do.Here, you’ll find unapologetic stories, rebellious inspiration, and practical tools to help you strip away the noise and live a life that’s fiercely, joyfully yours.Slow living isn’t about giving up.
It’s the boldest move you’ll ever make.Slow living isn’t about giving up. It’s the boldest move you’ll ever make.
Come walk this path with me. Join Simple Life Explorers, and let’s build lives that are slower, freer, and unapologetically ours.
